Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a Graduation degree from a recognized University or its equivalent qualification.
Salary and Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level-5, with a starting Basic Pay of Rs. 29,200/-. The salary is subject to revision from time to time by the State Government.
Selection Process
The selection of eligible candidates will be based on a written examination (objective type). There will be no interview process.
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as per the resolutions of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Bihar:
- General Category: 40%
- Backward Class Candidates: 36.5%
- Extremely Backward Class Candidates: 34%
- Scheduled Caste/Tribe, Women, and Disabled Candidates: 32%
Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Each question carries one mark. There is a provision of 1/3rd (one-third) negative marking for every incorrect answer.
The General Language papers (General English and General Hindi) are qualifying in nature. Candidates must secure a minimum of 30% marks in each of these papers to be eligible for evaluation of other papers. Candidature will not be considered if the minimum marks are not obtained in General English and General Hindi papers.
